JESUS MADE THE WAY - JOHN 14:13-15
Have you noticed that at the end of our prayers we say, "for Jesus' sake," or "in Jesus' name"? Why do we do this? It is because we cannot speak to God except through His Son, Jesus Christ.
We are sinful. We cannot come to a holy God in our sins and ask Him for favors. But Jesus is without sin. It is only because He died for our sins that we can come to God. When we come to Him in Jesus' name God delights to hear and answer us. We can be sure that He will forgive our sins because of Jesus. Don't let it be just "words" when you say, "for Jesus' sake," for just words do not count with God. He looks on the heart to see if you really mean it.
JOHN 14:13-15
13. "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." 14. "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." 15. "If you love Me, keep My commandments."
