This message was given to us by the pastor at the First Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas:

"How To Master Your Money


1. Take your money as gift from God.


  • See your money as God's money. (hagai: 2:8, Psalm 24:1)

  • See your money as a blessing from God (Jmes 1:17 Romans :36)


2. Tithe your money as a gift to God

  • Deternmine percentage. (Genesis 14:20)

  • A definte place.

  • Described purpose. (1 corinthians 16:2)



  1. Spiritual Ministries.

  2. Social Ministries.

  3. Saving Ministries.


3. Trust your money as a gif with God.

  • Promise to reward your faith will rebuke your faults.


These are the notes I found written on a piece of paper that I wrote while I listen to that day's message. I also have written at the top of the page: Malachi 3:7-11. (Malachi is the last book in the old testament) I looked it up in the Bible and this is what it says:

7. Yet from the days of your fathers
You have gone away from My ordinances
And have not kept them.
Return to Me, And I will return to tyou,"
Says the Lord of hosts.
"but you said,
'In what way shall we return?"
8. "Will a man rob God?
Yet you have robbed Me!
But you say,
"in what way have we robbed You?
In tithes and offerings.
9. You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me,
Even this whole nation.
10. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,"
Says the Lord of hosts,
"if I will not open for you the windows of heaven
and pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it."
